What we are building
versus is a prediction market. People buy contracts on questions about the real world, and the price of a contract is the market's answer to that question: a side trading at 62p is the market saying that outcome has roughly a 62% chance.
versus Incorporated is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission under account 101143, and the product runs on iPhone, Android and the web. The companies behind it are registered in Douglas, Isle of Man, with WORLDORF Ventures LLC in Dubai.
What we believe
A price says more than an opinion
Anyone can hold a view. A market asks you to put something behind it, and that is what makes the number worth reading.
The rules come before the trade
Every market names the source that settles it before anyone takes a position. If the source is ambiguous, the market says so. We would rather lose a listing than settle it in a way a reader cannot check.
Small team, short path
The person who designs a screen is in the room with the person who builds it and the person who answers the customer about it. Work ships the day it is ready, not the week after the meeting.
Clarity is the product
Prediction markets are unfamiliar to most people. Every screen, price and sentence either makes them clearer or is in the way.
We say what is true
Not what sells better. That holds for a market rule, a support answer and a launch date.
People can lose money here
We build the limits, the checks and the breaks as carefully as we build the trade, because a licence is a promise about how we treat people, not paperwork.
