This market resolves Yes if there is a widely reported coup attempt in China at any point between November 11, 2025 and January 1, 2027, 5:59 AM CET. Otherwise, it resolves No. A coup attempt means a coordinated, deliberate effort by military, security forces, or other state actors, including factions of those groups, to overthrow or unlawfully seize control of the Chinese government or its leadership. Revolutionary actions by non-state forces, isolated protests, or general unrest do not qualify on their own. Chinese government claims that a coup attempt was foiled, including through arrests or disruption of a planned operation, count only if credible independent sources widely report the event and explicitly characterize it as a coup attempt. Foiled plots or arrests without any attempted execution of the coup do not qualify. Resolution is based on a consensus of credible reporting.
