This market resolves YES if, by January 1, 2027, 5:59 AM CET, legislation becomes federal law authorizing people to be inducted into the U.S. Armed Forces through activation of the Selective Service System or through another form of compulsory military service. Otherwise, it resolves NO. What qualifies: The legislation must pass both chambers of Congress and be signed by the President, or otherwise be validly enacted into law, and must authorize the actual induction or conscription of personnel into the armed forces. What does NOT qualify: Legislation that only changes Selective Service registration rules, eligibility requirements, or administrative procedures does not count unless it also authorizes induction or establishes a military draft.
