This market resolves Yes if Ahmed al-Sharaa ceases to be President of Syria for any period of time between market creation and December 31, 2026 (Central European local time). Otherwise, it resolves No. An announcement of al-Sharaa's resignation or removal before the end date immediately resolves this Yes, regardless of when it takes effect. If he is detained, effectively removed from the position, or otherwise permanently prevented from fulfilling its duties within this market's timeframe, that qualifies for Yes. Resolution is based on official information from Ahmed al-Sharaa and the government of Syria; a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
