France’s 2026 United Left primary is currently scheduled for October 11, 2026. The primary is intended to select a joint candidate for the 2027 French presidential election among the participating left-wing parties and movements. This market resolves to the candidate who wins the nomination as the joint candidate of those participating parties and movements. This market resolves to “Canceled” if the organizers of the 2026 United Left primary officially announce that it will not take place, or if at least three of L’Après, Les Écologistes, Debout!, and Génération.s officially announce that they will not participate. A postponement of the scheduled date does not count as a cancellation. If no qualifying nominee has been announced by April 1, 2027, 5:59 AM CEST, this market resolves to “Other.” Resolution is based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is any ambiguity, resolution is based solely on official announcements from the primary organizers or participating parties. Any replacement of the nominee before election day does not affect resolution; the market resolves based on the candidate who originally wins the nomination.
