This market will resolve to “Yes” if the government of any sovereign UN member state announces between November 13, 3:00 PM ET and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET that it purchased Bitcoin for the first time. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying announcement may refer to a country’s first Bitcoin purchase even if that purchase occurred before the market’s timeframe, so long as the announcement itself is made within the market’s timeframe. To qualify, the relevant country must have directly purchased and taken custody of the Bitcoin. Purchases through investment vehicles, ETFs, or similar products that do not constitute direct ownership of Bitcoin will not qualify. The primary resolution source will be official announcements from the government of any qualifying UN member state; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
