This market resolves Yes if any federal or state jurisdiction of the United States formally charges or otherwise announces a criminal indictment of any AI or LLM by January 1, 2027, 5:59 AM CET. Otherwise, it resolves No. For this market, the District of Columbia and any county, municipality, or other subdivision of a state count as a state jurisdiction. Charging or indicting the company or organization behind the AI or LLM is not sufficient. The charge or indictment must be brought against the AI or LLM itself. The primary resolution source is official information from U.S. governmental sources. A wide consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
