This market resolves to “Yes” if Turkey becomes formally included in the F-35 program between market creation and the specified date (05:59 CET/CEST the following day). Otherwise, it resolves to “No.” Turkey will count as formally included in the F-35 program if any of the following happens: - Turkey is officially listed by the F-35 Joint Program Office as an F-35 Partner; - Turkey is officially listed by the F-35 Joint Program Office as an F-35 Foreign Military Sales customer; or - the U.S. federal government officially announces that Turkey has signed or accepted a Foreign Military Sales Letter of Offer and Acceptance for F-35 aircraft or F-35 components. Statements of intent, negotiations, sanctions relief, waivers or certifications of legal restrictions, congressional notification, or general statements that the United States supports or is considering an F-35 sale to Turkey do not qualify unless one of those specific conditions is actually met. Once a qualifying action occurs, the market resolves to “Yes” even if it is later reversed, suspended, or cancelled. The primary resolution source will be official information from the F-35 Joint Program Office and the U.S. federal government, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
