This market will resolve to “Yes” if, by January 1, 2027, 05:59 CET, credible reporting confirms that any entity has entered into an agreement to acquire OpenAI, or the nonprofit entity that controls OpenAI. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A merger in which OpenAI is absorbed into another entity will qualify for a “Yes” resolution. An announced acquisition agreement involving OpenAI and an acquiring entity will be sufficient for a “Yes” resolution, regardless of whether the transaction is ultimately completed. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Sam Altman and/or OpenAI; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
