Resolves to the political party of the next officially appointed and confirmed Prime Minister of Romania by January 1, 2028, 5:59 AM CET. To count, the Prime Minister must be formally appointed by the President of Romania and receive a parliamentary vote of confidence, forming a new government. An interim or caretaker Prime Minister who does not receive a vote of confidence does not count. If the Prime Minister comes from inside parliament, their party is their formal party affiliation at the time they become Prime Minister. If the Prime Minister comes from outside parliament, their party is determined by a consensus of credible reporting on which party they represent, belong to, or are formally affiliated with. If no clear affiliation exists, this resolves to “Independent/Technocrat.” If no qualifying Prime Minister is confirmed by January 1, 2028, 5:59 AM CET, this market resolves to “Other.” The primary resolution source is official information from the Government of Romania. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
